My old thermostat was definitely on its last legs, leading to some frustrating temperature fluctuations under load. After some research, I decided to pull the trigger on the LF941517Z New Engine Coolant Thermostat For Mazda 3 5 6 L4 2.0L 2.5L 2006-2013 Water Outlet With Sensor LF94-15-179A. I needed a reliable replacement that included the sensor, and this looked like the perfect fit for my Mazda 2.5L engine.

Installation wasn't too bad, and immediately after getting the air bled out, I noticed a huge difference. The temperature gauge now holds steady right where it should be, even after extended highway driving—a significant improvement over the old unit. I really appreciate that this component is a complete water outlet assembly, which made the swap much cleaner, as I didn't have to transfer any separate sensors, and the included sensor seems perfectly calibrated.

It’s great to have that peace of mind knowing the core cooling mechanism is new and functioning correctly.

If you are driving a Mazda 3, 5, or 6 from the 2006 to 2013 range with the 2.0L or 2.5L engine and are experiencing cooling issues, stop messing around with guesswork. This specific part is an excellent, comprehensive solution that addresses both the valve and the necessary sensor in one go.
